Cotes du Luberon are at the very southeast of Valley Rhone, immediately south of Cotes de Ventoux, where a number of local communes make wine in the same way as their ancient forebears. An eclectic cepage of Bourboulenc and Grenache Blanc, Vermentino and Ugni Blanc. Grapes are lightly crushed and pressed for a long cool fermentation in traditional open vats, a tenth is vinified in the luxury of new French oak barrels while being treated to a course of lees stirring battonage. Components are fined and assembled in the January after harvest.
Pale yellow hues. Delicate notes of fleshy white fruit, citrus and spring flowers, a nose of immense freshness and beautiful aromatic intensity. The palate brims with freshness, richly bound up in savoury nuttiness and crisp mineral acidity, balanced, seamless and spotless throughout, an aromatic and lingering, flavourful finish.
